Immunizations and Infant Wellness Visits

A baby’s first year of life consists of rapid growth and development. During this first year, our experts at New Beginnings Pediatrics will note important metrics, including their length, weight, and head circumference. Infant wellness checks are great times to bring up any concerns or questions you may have, such as your baby’s sleeping and eating habits. A typical infant wellness schedule is as follows:

• 1-2 days after leaving the hospital
• 2 weeks
• 1 month
• 2 months
• 4 months
• 6 months
• 9 months
• 1 year

• 15 months
• 18 months
• 2 year
• 2.5 year
• 3 year
• Yearly after 4 years

During your baby’s infant wellness checks, we will also ensure that they are up-to-date on their immunization schedule. Immunizations begin at 2 months for babies and continue throughout childhood. Vaccinations are essential for protecting your child against a wide variety of diseases, such as measles, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).
