Sofia Abraham-Hardee D.O/Ph.D. is the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and the Associate Professor of Pediatrics at VCOM. She graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She completed her Ph.D. in International Health Education from Virginia Tech in 2008 and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, in June 2011. Dr. Abraham-Hardee is a board certified pediatrician at New Beginning Pediatrics in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Abraham-Hardee specialized in well-child checks, sick visits and OMM. She loves the challenge of navigating many aspects of pediatric medicine (medical, social, environmental). She appreciates the collaborative effort to formulate a treatment plan with the caretakers/parents and patients. She believes the simplicity and innocence of the pediatric population are infectious. Dr. Abraham-Hardee loves being a part of her patients’ lives, seeing her patients and how much they teach her! She grew up in East Africa and enjoys the beautiful outdoors Blackburg, Virginia has to offer. Outside of the office, you’ll find Dr. Abraham-Hardee doing outdoor activities, working out and scrapbooking!
